Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based practice which builds on the functions of behavior to determine why one “does what they are doing” and helps to teach skills and appropriate behaviors by breaking them down into small, manageable units. This can be utilized in anyone and across environments, but most commonly used today with children, teens and young adults, with autism.
The basics of ABA are utilized across each of our programs. It provides a foundation for goal mastery, skill development, and helping teachers and parents understand the root of behaviors.
Bull City ELC strives to ensure continuity across programming and environments. Parent training in the basics of ABA is a cornerstone of what we do.
